ABOUT MRS. BOWEN
RAISED BY THE ATLANTIC AND LIVING BY THE PACIFIC.
Raised in the northwest corner of Connecticut, Mrs. Bowen attending public school K-12 and then moved to Boston to attend Northeastern University. After graduating with a BS in Graphic Design and Photography she moved to San Diego. She worked as a designer at printing companies then started as the designer and photographer at a supplement manufacturer. After many years in the field she decided she wanted out of office life and went back to school for her teaching credential at SDSU. Soon after she and her husband moved back to Boston where she attended Lesley University and earned a Masters in Art Ed. She taught photo, design and theater at Brockton High school for 5 years. She moved back to CA to teach at High Tech High North County. She now teaches drawing, painting and digital photo to grades 6-8 at VIDA, the best middle school! She lives in Carlsbad with her husband, two boys and rescue dog.
